Group X Training in DC

Atlas Fitness offers a balanced range of Group X classes in our Washington DC fitness center, including our flagship class—Atlas Bootcamp. We base our daily class schedule around a 365-day training program that includes periodized cycles similar to that of a high performance athlete. With appropriate coaching and the right environment, we believe all people can train like athletes. We use the quality of our staff and our programming to make classes challenging for all of our members.

Our classes are designed by our Director of Programming to improve a member’s overall physical fitness and athleticism, while enhancing speed, agility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. We deliver each class with the quality of a personal training session. We offer exercise progressions and coach members toward improving technique, while focusing on injury prevention. This allows members to work at their own pace, making Group X a great option for beginners and seasoned athletes alike.

Atlas Bootcamp – Group X

Duration: 1 Hour

The legendary Atlas Bootcamp is the Group X program that started it all—Atlas Bootcamp offers challenging, individualized workouts that Atlas Fitness is known for. Challenge yourself with full body strength and power circuit exercises using a wide variety of equipment, including: ropes, bands, kettlebells, sandbags, hurdles, ladders, tires, kegs, sleds, Atlas stones, you name it! This is THE Bootcamp—dynamic movements are incorporated into each class, which provides a true test of athleticism, focus, and toughness!

Strength-101

Strength 101

Duration: 1 Hour

Atlas Strength 101 is designed to build proficiency and performance for compound and big muscle movements. During this hour long circuit, you will become familiar using barbells and dumbbells, learn lifts like squats, bench press, and deadlifts, while challenging your core. Take this class if you’re looking to build total body core strength and power, while also improving cardiovascular fitness.

TRX-Kettlebell

TRX and Kettlebell Fusion Classes

Duration: 1 Hour

Atlas Fitness incorporates TRX Suspension System Trainers and/or kettlebells in circuit style classes for a total body effect. Participants can expect to train their muscular endurance and aerobic capacity while working on strength, balance and stability through a wide variety of challenging moves for a full hour of total energy expenditure. Atlas Punch

Duration: 1 Hour

Atlas Fitness is a circuit style class that programs boxing combinations and techniques, with agility and core, for a huge aerobic conditioning effect. Class participants will perform several stations that involve heavy bags, double-end bags, uppercut bags, and hit pads, all with boxing gloves and wrist wraps provided. Get into fighting shape and knockout that body-fat!

Atlas Cardio Jam

Atlas Cardio Jam is a cardio dance class like no other! This class is designed to get you up and moving to your favorite songs while incorporating easy to remember steps that can go from the gym studio straight to the club! If you’re not seeing results from typical dance fitness classes, this cardio jam might just do the trick!
